Young Ambassador Hala and her mother Maisa Ali Hamdan represented their Palestinian culture and heritage at Mery Institute and Country Day School. Maisa and Hala are Palestinian Americans who live in Missouri State in the USA. Hala’s School launches an international Expo every year and students from different cultural backgrounds remember their countries of origin
Shefa-ʻAmr, also Shfar’am is an Arab city in the Northern District of Israel. In 2017 it had a population of 41,024, with a Sunni Muslim majority alongside large Christian and Druze minorities. Thanks to Nasreen Khawalid for sending us this contribution about her hometown.
